What is Artickles?
Little handmade artworks — a painted stone, a tiny carving, a decorated tag — go out into the world carrying a sticker code. Someone finds one, scans it to say hello, sees everywhere it's travelled on a map, and passes it on. The journey keeps going, and you get to watch it happen.
How it works
You don't need an account to find a piece and follow its journey — just the code. Explore the map to see what's out there right now.
Keeping it safe
Artickles started as a project for two kids, so safety is built in, not bolted on:
- Locations are always shown as a rough area, never an exact spot — so finding a piece never reveals where someone lives or stood.
- Photos are of the artwork, never of people, and every note left on a piece is checked by a person before it appears.
- Children take part through a parent or guardian, who manages everything — kids don't have their own sign-in.
- A real person is one reply away at safety@artickles.me.
